Inspired by Heritage Filipino houses. These table lamps explore the material of capiz shells. A naturally flat, translucent and iridescent shell of the Placuna Placenta mollusc. Gatip shatters the shells and uses the shards to create a textural effect as they are embedded with resin within the timber lattice. These lamps are part of the concept capsule launched during Melbourne Design Week 2024.
